On July 30th, 2024, Truman was found under the G St Bridge in Richmond. Truman had a thick, dirty collar on and it was clear that he had been out in the storm the night before. Truman couldn’t hear very well and was extremely cautious. After Truman was finally caught, he went to Jesse’s house where he learned to love people and food. He was treated for a urinary tract infection and fattened up. Truman was guessed to be at least 12 years old.

Truman was with Jesse for a little over 3 months. In that time, she learned a lot about him. Truman enjoyed long naps, that were rarely interrupted due to his impaired hearing, car rides, and leisurely sniffing sessions. Truman also enjoyed marking in the house, so as you can see, he was subject to wearing a belly band.

Truman was eventually adopted in November of 2024 to live out his golden years with his new momma.
